I have just begun to learn how to speak Spanish and though I find the language to be very beautiful I find learning a new language of any kind very intimidating. It is like going back to kindergarten and learning your abc's. I am a lot older than four or five and as an adult I guess I have acquired some vanities such as not wanting to look or sound like a fool.
And that is why I joined this support group called - Conversations for Spanish Learners. I found this support group - Conversations for Spanish Learners - through my local community center. Basically it's a group of people that are learning to speak Spanish that get together so they can practice speaking Spanish to one another through conversation.
I'm glad I found this group because I have been learning Spanish on my own and I have no way of knowing how well or bad I am doing. And getting together with my support group allows me the ability to gauge how well I'm doing.
There is one fellow at the Conversations for Spanish Learners support group who's name is Larry and he is from Scotland. He is one of the nicest fellows you could meet and we often go out afterwards for a pint of beer. But Larry has a thick Scottish brogue and sometimes when he speaks English I find it hard to understand him. And when he speaks Spanish it can be down right funny.
I have been learning Spanish for about 4 weeks now and I have been attending the Conversations for Spanish Learners support group twice a week for the past 2 weeks and I hope to be able to Speak Spanish fluently within 3 or 4 months.
And with the help of my Conversations for Spanish Learners support group I think I will be able to attain my goal.
