Here's a little story about somebody I once knew. We will call her Julia. Julia was a young woman who dated a lot but her relationships never seemed to go further than just dating. Julia wasn't the drop dead gorgeous type but she was pretty. She had a nice personality, a good sense of humor and she was intelligent.

But she could never figure out why she could not get into a steady relationship with a man.

In fact she could never understand men. She was always second guessing and self doubting everything she did with men. From the conversations she had with them, to what she wore on dates to even the sex that she had with men.

After a date she would replay over and over in her head every little thing that happened and wondered if her date noticed it, liked it or disliked it. Most of all she wondered if her date would call her to go out again.

Though Julia was confident in her career in the publishing industry she had no self confidence in her ability to understand men when it came to dating, relationships and sex.

One day Julia decided to make a study of men and the way they acted and thought. When she went out she started asking probing personal questions about her dates. From what they liked to eat, what they liked to do in their spare time to what they liked when it came to sex.

This originally began as an experiment but Julia soon found that not only were her probing questions giving her a lot of knowledge about the men she dated they were also causing her dates to open up and give provocative answers.

All of a sudden the dates she went on became a lot more exciting and the men she dated found her a lot more interesting. She began dating a lot more and she soon found a man that she thought interesting and sexual exciting. A long term relationship formed.

Julia is really me. If you are anything like I was the secret to dating is being your self, understanding men and having fun.
