What to sell on eBay?

You can sell nearly anything. The only limit is your imagination and the items which eBay prohibits and restricts from being sold on their site. (You can find a complete list of restricted items at eBay in their policy section.)

If you are just beginning to sell it is probably best to sell things that you know about or are interested in. Do you have knowledge or an interest in jewelry, electronics, games, cars, collectibles, antiques, clothing, sporting goods, video games, toys, furniture, books, kitchen utensils, digital products, candles?

Once you pick an area you are comfortable in it is best to find a smaller niche within the area. For an example let's say you want to sell clothing. Break that down into a smaller niche such as retro clothing or baby clothing or just hats and scarfs.

The same goes for any other area of interest in which you would like to sell in. If it is collectable find a smaller niche such as movie collectables or Broadway collectables or sports collectables.

You can even break those niches down into smaller niches. The important thing is to find an area of selling that you have knowledge in and feel comfortable with.

One place that constantly gives me ideas for items to sell is flea markets. I spend more time at flea markets than I do at my home. I find that at flea markets not only do you find all the old things people no longer want but you find craft people who have original products that they make themselves.

This is a great source for original products that nobody else is selling on eBay which gives you a leg up on any competition in your field. If you can find a person that makes original crafts you may want to make them your partner. They do the production of the products and you do the marketing.

The best advice on what to sell on eBay is to do your research on products. You can either do it on the net or like myself, go hunting for the products.
