Every year millions of dollars are awarded to people through government grants for US citizens. Government grants for US citizens are awarded for a number of different reasons and needs.

There are a number of different grant opportunities available from business grants to open up a new business, expanding an existing business, financing of equipment and even grants to help women start their own business to personal grants to help purchase a house, home rapiers, academic purposes, legal services, medical expenses to numerous grants for educational purposes.

The two major grant programs are as follows:

Federal Grants - the federal government gives out grants to average people to help them start their business and they also give grants to men and women to attend college and to help pay for every day expenses as well as medical emergencies.

State Grants - the different individual states will give financial aid to small business and for educational purposes.

You must realize that with the different grant programs there are many forms and applications you must fill out. Each program and each agency has their own bureaucracy. You must be persistent if you want to take advantage of these government grants for US citizens.

Don't give up just because you come across a form that you don't quite understand or an application question that you are not sure about. Get help and hang in there. You have a great chance of obtaining government grants for US citizens.
