One of my favorite pass times is searching the net looking for home made remedies to common everyday ailments that we humans are inflicted with. It makes me feel like an anthropologist uncovering secrets of a civilization.

One of my favorite topics is a home remedy for heartburn. There are many different home remedies and below are just a few that I have uncovered. Please note that I can't vouch that any of them work as I have not tried them. I find these remedies interesting and sometimes entertaining and I hope you do to. Maybe you will find a home remedy that will work for your heartburn.

Home Remedy for Heartburn:

Baking Soda - one teaspoon of baking soda mixed into a class of warm water. (I understand that this doesn't taste very good.)

Mustard - swallow one tablespoon of mustard.

Garlic - take a dozen cloves of garlic and put them in a bowl of warm water. Then soak your feet for an hour. (I'm not so sure about this one?)

Apple - eat a red apple after dinner.

Mint - chew on mint leaves to relieve heartburn.

Pine Needle - chew on a pine needle and swallow the pine needle juices to get rid of heartburn.

Ginger Tea - drink a cup of ginger tea to relieve or prevent heartburn.

Milk and Water - mix one third of a glass of cow milk with two thirds of water and drink to get rid of heartburn.

As you can see there are many different home remedies for heartburn. If you are suffering from heartburn you may want to try one of these methods. The important thing is that you find a remedy that will relieve you of your heartburn.
