How can you find information on a person? With the internet it has become very easy to find information on a person. There are different companies that offer access to their databases that are filled with information such as criminal records - convictions, court records, and court cases, records of family trees, unlisted home & cell phone numbers, marriage and divorce records, birth parents and adoption records etc.

These databases are great for finding lost loves, family, friends and relatives. They are also great for doing background checks on people you may be in the midst of doing business with.

Well, the results of that background check shocked us. Not only did his new partner have a criminal record but he had been convicted of embezzlement and had served time. Not only once - but twice!

Spencer quickly withdrew from the partnership and broke off all relations with this man. Though the consultation with his lawyer and the investigation into his partner had cost him well over 700 dollars the knowledge Spencer gained from the back ground check was invaluable.

Spencer hasn't yet attained his dream of opening up his own cafe but he is still working towards that goal. And the lesson Spencer learned from that almost fatal partnership was - that you never really know somebody until you do a back ground check.
