My uncle, who never owned a camera until he bought his first digital camera 2 years ago, now has his own digital photography business. Over the holidays we were at a family gathering and we had this great conversation about digital photography.

These stock photography agencies have their own web sites that my uncle downloaded his photographs to so webmasters can browse and choose what photos they want to display on their web sites. They pay to use these photographs. And the beautiful part of this is that my uncle can sell the same photograph over and over again. It's non-exclusive!

Of course the stock photography agencies take a small cut of the money but my uncle was making money without even having a web site. So here is my uncle, he's in his late fifties, making money doing something he loved.

The important thing, my uncle told me, was to take digital photographs of things these agencies could sell. And he told me exactly what types of photograph's they were looking for - photos of business people, groups of business people in a teamwork atmosphere, pregnant women are big especially in medical images, couples, healthcare images and people smiling. They love photos of people because they are easy to sell. People love to look at images of people.

So that is how to make money with digital camera. My uncle was so successful that he has now ventured into digital wedding photography and he just started digital videography. My uncle told me that there never has been a better time than now to get into digital photography.
