I'll admit it; I married a woman who is a bit of a scatterbrain. But she is my scatterbrain - and I love her. So the other day when she said to me - do you want to know how to win at the horse races? I didn't take her seriously. Why? Because she is a scatterbrain.

I love betting on horses. And over the years I have come up with a few systems that have worked pretty well. But that was after years of experience and study. Now the only thing my wife knows about horse racing is that it is a race with horses. And that is about it.

So when my wife asked me - do you want to know how to win at the horse races? I ignored her. But she was pretty persistent. She kept asking me - do you want to know how to win at the horse races? Until I finally gave in and asked her - how to win at the horse races?

She told me that I would have to take her to the track with me and she would show me. Then she stuck her tongue at me. Usually, at this point, I would have paid no attention to her and got in my car and drove to the race track - alone. But, I had been going through a small losing streak and I guess you could say I was willing to try a different system that day.

When we got to the race track she immediately asked for a racing form. She sat down with a cup of coffee and a pencil and started picking her selections. I watched her with amusement for a while until she had finished. Then she passed me the racing form and told me the horses she had circled were the winners.

She had only chosen 4 winners in 4 of the races. When I asked her why she told me that her betting system could only tell that those 4 horses would win. When I asked her to explain her betting system to me she told me that she couldn't because I would only laugh at it.

Well, to make a long story short, there was no way I was betting these horses without some kind of theory or system behind the reason for their being chosen. So, I studied the racing form and made my own selections. My wife placed her own bets and I placed mine.

At the end of the day I hadn't picked a winner in a single race. My wife won all 4 of her races. I was fuming. Finally, on the way home in the car I broke down and asked my wife tell me her betting system. I was so angry that I didn't really ask her - I demanded that she tell me her betting system.

And this is what she told me - she told me that she placed her bets using only a single criteria and that criteria was that the horses name had to have the letter t as its third letter. She told me the system came to her in a dream.

The four horses she picked were 'Fat Cigar', 'Get Moving', 'Activation' and 'Pete the Horse'.
